Healing Reads

@christiehaveysmithofficial

The term “healing journey” used to make me think of a harrowing path set before us when we find we’re suddenly lost (or have lost a piece of ourselves), and though we didn’t sign up for this journey, it is the only way back home.

Now, when I hear the term, I think bigger. We may be healing—each of us, all of us—but we’re also healers in the making, appearing in all forms. These books are great reminders of that. They’re filled with unique friendships, hard-won wisdom, humor, beauty, and love. Maybe you need a healing read this weekend? Check these out:

📖 Poetry: How to Love the World, Poems of Gratitude and Hope, edited by James Crews
📖 Nonfiction: Everything Happens for a Reason and Other Lies I’ve Loved, Kate Bowler
📖 Memoir: Crazy Brave, Joy Harjo
📖 Novel: The Last Love Note, Emma Grey
📖 Memoir: Did I Ever Tell You? Genevieve Kingston
📖 Novel: Remarkably Bright Creatures, Shelby Van Pelt
