While writing Threads of Us, I discovered six key lessons: writing means stealing time whenever possible, authenticity is at the heart of storytelling, characters need full backstories (even if most of it is cut), mystery is essential, everything in life can fuel creativity, and sometimes, the stories we tell demand to be heard.
